How long?

Africa.
Africa.
Africa.
I can say that to myself all day long and still not believe myself when I say that I have stepped foot on that beautiful place...
It's March 6th, 2012. Almost 8 months since I came home from Africa. Here I am wishing to be back.
This post marks the third time I have started to write a post but have not been able to put to words exactly what I thought would be best to say. You may be wondering why I am posting on this blog. I am not going back to Africa or anywhere else this summer. I did not feel that was where God wanted me to be this year. I prayed about it, sought wise counsel and prayed some more. I ultimately felt God calling me to stay home in the United States this year. Who knows what next year may hold.
This blog as it is now set up will be a place to share stories of God's faithfulness and how amazing his love is. It will be a place to share Bible verses. It will be a place where you can share with me and the others who read this blog how God has blessed you.
I would like to start right away by sharing with you some ways God has blessed me lately.
Recently, I came across a blog of a wonderful woman of God who lives in Uganda who is not much older than I, and is raising 13 beautiful little African girls.
I am blessed continually by the updates of the ministry I worked with while I was in Africa.
There have been some wonderful missionaries who have come to my church to share their testimonies.
These are just a few ways that God has been showing his faithfulness to me!
What ways has he been working in your life?

Lina

Dear friends and supporters, I would like to tell you a testimony from South Africa!

It was about our 3rd or, 4th day in Diepsloot and, my ministry group and I were walking up and, down the streets and, a woman came out of her hut and asked us what we were doing there. She said she had seen many of us around the last few days and she was wondering why were were there. We told her that we were there to share Jesus with people. She said she had heard about Jesus. We were able to help her clean her laundry. After we finished with the laundry, she invited us into her house.

Her father lived with her and her family. She also had a grown son who lived with her. She was part of a church in South Africa called the ZCC. Let's just say they don't believe what we do. Her father was a ZCC member as well.

She did not understand why she was the one who had to do all the work for her father and son. We told her that God never said our lives would be easy. We were able to pray for her and try to answer some of her questions about God. It was wonderful!

She had such joy in her heart! Please keep this sweet woman named Lina in your prayers.

God Bless,
Meg :)

Dear friends,
I want to tell you all that sadly, I'm not going to Uganda this summer.... There is a lot of unrest in that country and the people I'm going with can not take a bunch of teens in there. The good news is, I'm still going to Africa just not Uganda. I'll be going to South Africa. I think I'll be doing mostly the same work. Please keep the people mainly the children of Uganda in your prays as they suffer.

The other good news is, I'm already fully funded so, I have enough money for the trip! Thank you all for your prayers and support!

God bless,
Meg :)
